Customizing the Colorado
To change the settings on your Colorado:
1.  Select 
Shortcuts

2.  Rotate the 
Rock ‘n Roller to highlight and select 
the application to change.

GPS—set the unit to operate in NormalWAAS, or 
Demo Mode.
Language—set the text language on the Colorado.
Tones—turn the tones on or off.
Interface—set the Colorado interface.
Garmin Spanner—allows you to use the Colorado 
USB port with most NMEA 0183-compliant 
mapping programs by creating a virtual serial port.
Garmin Serial—Garmin proprietary format used 
to exchange waypoint, route, and track data with a 
computer.
NMEA In/Out—provides standard NMEA 0183 
output and input.
Text Out—provides simple ASCII text output of 
location and velocity information.
RTCM (Radio Technical Commission for 
Maritime Services)—allows the Colorado to accept 
DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System) 
information from a device supplying RTCM data in 
an SC-104 format.
Battery Type—select the type of battery you are using 
(AlkalineNiMH, or Lithium).
