Call request facility: Set None or User in order to insert a Facility field into the Call 
Request message. 
Own #: Enter the X.25 number assigned to the tested access for compatibility on 
incoming calls. 
LCI: Enter an identification number for the channel in use, to avoid the interfere of 
other terminals on the data transmission. 
Window layer 3: Number of level 3 packets which can be transmitted without waiting 
for a reply ("3" by default). 
Layer 2: Choose the layer 2 simulation mode. 
•  DTE, to set the device as DTE (Data Terminal Equipment) 
•  DCE, to set the device as DCE (Data Communication Equipment) 
•  DXE, the device sets itself depending on the remote configuration (only for 
incoming call mode) 
 
In an end-to-end test
, one test set must be configured as Outgoing 
and one as Incoming, to perform the test first start the equipment 
sets as Incoming and then the device sets as Outgoing. 
3.10.2. Running an X.25 on B channel test 
Once defined the setup for the X.25 on B Channel test, continue as follows:

Select ‘Use this setup for testing’. 
 
Connect the instrument as displayed on the screen and 
press the RIGHT CURSOR key.  
 
Start the X.25 test on the B channel. 
The LED RUN goes on and the test results appear on the screen.
