ADSL TESTER D2061
USER’S MANUAL
The test allows to send on line a single tone or to carry out a scansion of the band
both, in manual and automatic mode.
both, in manual and automatic mode.
The level value is definable by the user as well as the scanning time and the delta
frequency in Hz.
frequency in Hz.
Used in couple with a remote receiver it is possible to check for instance, the correct
opening and transparency of the audio channel in case of conversion into digital
lines, or it is possible to check the quality of the band considering parameters such as
distortion and line attenuation.

3.10.1. Setting up a Tone Generator test
Define the following parameters for a Tone Generator test:
Called number: Enter the phone number of the called party.
Freq start (Hz): Insert the initial frequency value (range from 300 to 3400). If the
value is different from Freq.stop, the device performs a scansion of frequencies
included between the two values.
value is different from Freq.stop, the device performs a scansion of frequencies
included between the two values.
Freq stop (Hz): Insert the final frequency value (range from 300 to 3400). If the value
is different from Freq.start, the device performs a scansion of frequencies included
between the two values.

∆F (Hz): Define Delta value (gap) to use to pass from a tone frequency to another in
manual mode.
manual mode.
Level (dBm): Choose the width for the sinusoidal tone generated.
Sweep Time: Select the waiting time between one tone and the other, sending tones
may be carried out manually by selecting ‘Manual’. Only if Freq.start and Freq.stop
are different.
