Fig. 10-1 Charging the batteries

No damage will occur to the instrument if you leave it charging for
long periods, i.e. during the weekend.
For a faster recharge, switch off the device.
The AC/DC main adapter switches off the battery recharge cycle maximum after
three hours since it is plugged to the AC socket.
Adapters mod. 531001410 and 531001411 are provided with a label with a
description of their operation.
10.3.2. Extending battery operation time
Charging the batteries when they are not completely empty, reduces the battery
operating time.

It may happens that the batteries need three or four complete
charging and discharging cycles before reaching the maximum
operating regime.
To keep the batteries in optimal condition, observe the following guidelines:
►
Operate the instrument on batteries until the
symbol appears at the top of
the screen. This indicates that the batteries are very low and that they need to
be recharged. Read carefully the instruction reported above in order to have a
correct recharge cycle.
Operating time will be reduced if the instrument is used or handled at temperatures
that differ from the recommended values.
To save battery power, reduce the backlight of the screen when not necessary.
