Number of bursts: Set the total duration of the test expressed with the number of 
bursts. 
Pause between burst: Set the time interval between two bursts of calls. 
Parallel calls per burst: Set the maximum number of parallel calls for each series of 
calls. 
Single call duration: Set the minimum duration of the single call.  
Pause between calls: Set the pause between the calls in a group. 
Test traffic on:  Select the type of traffic to be tested. The instrument can test the call 
on one of the following parameters:   
•  Delivery, the call succeeds and ends when the ALERTING message has 
been detected. 
•  Connection, the call succeeds and ends when the CONNECT message 
has been detected. The call remains active for the set duration.  
3.7.2.  Running a generate traffic test 
When you have defined the setup for the Generate Traffic test, continue as follows: 
 
Select ‘Use this setup for testing’ in the first SETUP page. 
 
Connect the instrument as displayed on the screen and 
press the RIGHT CURSOR key.  
 
Start the Generate Traffic test. 
Note that: 
The START key changes to STOP. Use this key to end the test. 
The test results appear on the screen.
