Detour here will make the unit immediately navigate to 

the new selected location. Once you arrive, the unit will 

resume navigating to your original destination. 

New final destination will add the new location to the 

end of the current route. So, if you are navigating to a 

nearby restaurant and choose to set a gas station as your 

New Final Destination, the unit will direct you to the restaurant first 

and send you to the gas station after you have finished eating. 

Cancel old navigation will stop navigating to your 

original destination and start navigating to the new 

location. 

Considering Temporary or Local Conditions 
Unfortunately, the unit cannot be aware of any temporary or local con-

ditions that could affect your course. Short-term construction, traffic 

jams or local bans on U-turns could affect a generated route.  
If you are following a route and conditions make it impossible or incon-

venient to follow the routing instructions use your best judgment. 

When you deviate from your route the unit will begin generating a new 

one based on your new position.  
This feature will help when dealing with unexpected local conditions. 

The most important step in learning how to follow generated routes is 

practice. Use the unit as often as possible and pay attention to the way 

it "thinks." In time you will learn exactly how to get the most out of the 

information provided by the unit.
