BlackDiamond 12800 Series Switches Hardware Installation Guide

To repack the BlackDiamond 12802 chassis for return to Extreme Networks:

Prepare the shipping box. Remove saved packing materials except the lower foam cushion, which 
should be in the bottom of the box.

Remove all modules and power supplies from the chassis. Follow correct Extreme Networks 
procedures for removing components from the BlackDiamond chassis. 

Remove the chassis from the equipment rack as follows:

Loosen and remove the eight mounting screws holding the chassis to the rack.

Guide the chassis out of the rack and set it on a secure, flat surface.

Remove the rack-mounting brackets.

Place the chassis into the shipping bag.

Carefully set the chassis onto the foam cushion in the bottom of the shipping carton (see 

.)

Set the top foam cushion in place over the chassis (see 

Close the top flaps and seal them securely with packing tape.
