Understanding Secondary Windows
StorageSync activities are initiated from secondary windows. Secondary windows appear
when you click a button on the Welcome window, click an appropriate option in the System
tray menu, or click a button in another secondary window. For example, when you click the
BACKUP button on the Welcome window or click Start Backup from the System tray
menu, the Backup window appears (see Figure 11). This secondary window lets you back up
data from your computer’s hard drive to a target media drive.

Buttons along the left side let you access other secondary windows to perform other tasks.
The main area to the right of the buttons provides list boxes for making your selections, a
Current Settings area for viewing the settings in effect, and a Log Window that shows the
process information written to the StorageSync Log.
