USING THE DRIVE WITH WINDOWS – 50

If WD SmartWare is running in the background, you can launch it in the following ways:

•   Click Start > (All) Programs > WD SmartWare > WD SmartWare. 

•   Double-click the WD SmartWare icon 

 in the task bar.

Note: You can also right-click or left-click the WD SmartWare icon 

 in the task bar and 

select WD SmartWare.

The WD SmartWare Home screen displays.

Mouse over the WD SmartWare icon 

 to view drive capacity used and drive 

temperature, and to determine whether the drive is currently locked:
