Using the Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, or Manual mode
By using the aperture value of adjusting light volume and shutter speed, you can take pictures of desired exposure.  
As for the shooting modes that allows adjusting the aperture value and shutter speed, there are the aperture priority 
mode, shutter speed priority mode, and manual mode.
Using the Aperture Priority mode
The Aperture Priority mode allows you to manually 
set the aperture value while the camera automatically 
selects an appropriate shutter speed.

  Rotate the mode dial to A.

  Rotate the dial to adjust the aperture 
value.

  Set options. 
•  For a list of options, refer to “Extended

  Align your subject in the frame and half-
press [Shutter] to focus.

  Press [Shutter] to take a photo.
Aperture value
The aperture value of a lens can be adjusted to control 
the amount of light reaching the image sensor. When 
opening the aperture (reduce the aperture value), 
objects closer and further away than the focused 
subject will be out of focus. When closing the aperture 
(increase the aperture value), the range in focus 
expands forward and backward.
