11. Troubleshooting
• The display stays blank or is too dark.
Enter Setup mode and press on the [SUN symbol] Hard Key located on the left
side of the TSR-500 (on the body, not the LCD). This will increase and decrease the
LCD contrast.  Note: This Hard Key performs dual functions. In normal operation,
depressing this Hard Key changes to the next or prior device screen pages.  In
setup mode, it will only adjust the contrast of the LCD to make it lighter or darker.
• The wrong Soft Keys are actuated when pressing on touch pad display.
You need to recalibrate your touch screen.   Enter Setup Mode by pressing the
[SETUP] Soft Key and then select the [CONFIGURATION] Soft Key. Finally, select
[TOUCHPAD SETUP].  See section 3.1 for calibration information

• The buttons ae not sending out the correct information.
Reprogram the incorrectly programmed device.  See Section 4.
• The TSR/500 does not learn from another remote control.
Repeat the steps in Section 5 (Learn Code) to make sure that the remotes are
on a level surface facing each other with 1 to 3 inches between them before
attempting to learn. Avoid fluorescent light and bright sunlight when attempting
this procedure. Also avoid using place the remotes on shiny surfaces. Make sure
that the batteries in both remotes are not low.

• The TSR-500 display is “frozen.”  It doesn’t seem to change devices or pages.
The unit may be “locked up.”  It may have run out of memory. In this case, you
need to perform a “hard reset.”   Remove the battery cover and look for a small
round hole above the batteries.  Using a paper clip, carefully place it into the
hole until you hear short beep. The unit will reset.  You will need to perform a
touch-screen setup [calibration].
