Error Disablement and Automatic Error Recovery
The switch supports interface error disablement, also referred to as Diagnostic Disable
(D-Disable), and error autorecovery of the disabled interface. If the switch detects an error
condition for an interface, it places the interface in a diagnostic-disabled (error-disabled)
state by shutting down the interface. The error-disabled interface does not allow any traffic
until the interface is reenabled.

Either you can manually reenable the error-disabled interface or you can enable the error
autorecovery feature, which automatically reenables the interface after the expiration of the
time-out interval. The default time-out for autorecovery is 300 seconds. If an interface is
reenabled but the reason that the interface was placed in the D-Disable state is not resolved,
the interface is placed back in the D-Disable state.

The following features are supported by autorecovery:
