Customers can choose to deploy CMX 10 on-premises on Mobility Service Engine
(MSE) 3365 hardware or virtual MSE appliance. This document details the ordering
and licensing process for the CMX 10 software.

To download, evaluate, and purchase the CMX software and virtual MSE:

3. CMX 10 software comes with a 120-day evaluation license. After 120 days, licenses are required.
4. To purchase licenses, order L-MSE-PAK-N and choose amount and type of licenses required. Choose L-LS-
1AP-N for base and L-AD-LS-1AP-N for advanced license
5. Software support has to be purchased separately and is priced for license type & number of APs
To purchase the MSE 3365 physical appliance:
1. Select AIR-MSE-3365-K9.
2. Select software version NEW (10.x). Software comes with a built-in 120-day evaluation license. After 120
days, licenses are required

Ordering the Services Licenses - Which Licenses Do I Need?
Cisco CMX requires licenses to enable functionality. All licenses are per access point.
There are three types of CMX licenses:

CMX Base license provides the following services:

Location: The ability to determine the location of Wi-Fi clients, Bluetooth low energy (BLE) beacons,
devices, and RFID tags. Includes tracking devices using FastLocate or Hyperlocation

CMX Connect: Visitor Wi-Fi onboarding platform

Location APIs: Third-party integration using standard REST APIs
