Your grace period has expired. All security sevice have 
expired, and your appliance is non-functional.  The appliance 
will no longer deliver mail until a new license is applied. 

To renew security services licenses, Please contact your 
authorized Cisco sales representative.

Critical. Sent when the grace period for virtual appliances has 
expired.

Failed to bootstrap the DNS resolver. Unable to contact root 
servers.

Warning. Sent when the appliance is unable to contact the root 
DNS servers.

Standby port $port on $pair_name failure

’port’ - Detected port

’pair_name’ - Failover pair 
name.

Warning. Sent when a backup NIC pairing interface fails.

Standby port $port on $pair_name okay

’port’ - Failed port

’pair_name’ - Failover pair 
name.

Information. Sent when a NIC pair failover is recovered.

Port $port failure on $pair_name, switching to $port_other

’port’ - Failed port.

’port_other’ - New port.

’pair_name’ - Failover pair

Critical. Sent when a NIC pairing failover is detected due to 
an interface failure.

Port $port_other on $pair_name is down, can’t switch to 
$port_other

Critical. Sent when a NIC pairing failover is detected due to 
an interface failure, but a backup interface is not available.

Information. Sent when a NIC pair failover is recovered.

Manual failover to port $port on $pair_name
