Step 3
The access point/bridge default username and password and the enable password are all Cisco (case
sensitive).
Note
When your configuration changes are completed, you must remove the serial cable from the
console port.
You can use Cisco IOS commands to configure a static IP address on the BVI1 interface, which enables
you to browse or Telnet to the access point/bridge using Ethernet. For example:
ap#configure terminal
ap(config)#interface bvi1
ap(config-if)#ip address 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
ap(config-if)#exit
ap#write memory
Ethernet Port
When using a web browser (HTTP) or Telnet connection through the power injector’s Ethernet port,
follow these steps:
Step 1
Connect the power injector's Ethernet port to a LAN containing a running DHCP server.
Step 2
Power up the access point/bridge unit.
Step 3
Check the DHCP server's lease table to find the IP address assigned to the access point/bridge’s client ID.
Step 4
Use the IP address to Telnet or browse to the access point/bridge. The default username and password
are both Cisco (case sensitive).
