The new GainMaker



 LE MDU Power Pack Kit is a field installable 

kit which allows the customers to convert existing line powered 
GainMaker Line Extenders (LEs) into local AC (90 – 260) powered 
units.  The kit is targeted to current users of GainMaker LEs, and 
is intended for use in hotels, motels, schools and multiple dwelling 
unit (MDU) environments where local powering is needed or 
preferred.  The local powered GainMaker LE can also be used in 
conjunction with battery back-up to ensure reliability with loss of 
power. 
 
 
Some of the benefits of using the GainMaker LE MDU Power Pack 
Kit to convert GainMaker LEs for use in 110 V AC applications 
include: 

−  Reduced plant powering cost by using local AC power 

−  Cost effective way to increase signal reach without additional 

power supplies
