Cisco Unified CCX Admin Utility Problems
The cluster is not in synchronization
Symptom
The cluster is not in synchronization.
Error Message   Rerun the Cisco Unified CCX Admin Utility again to bring the cluster
back into synchronization.
Possible Cause
This can happen due to a variety of reasons: The password setting or synchronization
failed in the middle of the process. The update was done on a bootstrap data store but not on a Windows
database. The update was done on one node but not on the second node.
Recommended Action
Rerun the Cisco Unified CCX Admin Utility again to bring the cluster back into
synchronization.
Cisco Unified CCX Admin Utility exits or does not come up after login
Symptom
Cisco Unified CCX Admin Utility exits or does not come up after login.
Error Message
None.
Possible Cause
Check for the following:
  •
The Cisco Unified CCX Admin Utility runs on a system where Cisco Unified CCX has been
properly installed and configured.
  •
The status of the Configuration Manager (and the Bootstrap Manager for both nodes, if you have a
two node system) of Cisco Unified CCX Cluster View Daemon service from the Cisco Unified CCX
Admin control center.
  •
The Cisco Unified CCX Admin Utility needs to have the Cisco Unified CCX Cluster View Daemon
process Configuration Manager IN_SERVICE or the Configuration Manager and Bootstrap
Manager IN_SERVICE for a multiple node system.
Recommended Action
Properly install and configure the Cisco Unified CCX system.
The Cisco Unified CCX Admin Utility fails due to data corruption
Symptom
The Cisco Unified CCX Administration Utility fails due to data corruption.
Error Message
None.
Possible Cause
The Cisco Unified CCX Admin Utility fails when there is data corruption in the bootstrap
data store. Any process running on the node on which the Admin Utility is running and that has access
to the bootstrap data store can cause data corruption. For example, the Admin Utility, the Cisco Unified
CCX engine, CONFING API, and so on, many cause data corruption.
Recommended Action
When the Admin Utility fails on one node due to data corruption, try to run it from
another bootstrap server node. If the Admin Utility fails again, contact your support provider.
