Note: You can see the same error message even when you attempt to copy the ASA software image to disk0:
via TFTP.
Tip: Before you implement the solutions in this document, make sure that the logging flash−bufferwrap
command is not in your configuration. If it is, remove it with this command:
ASA(config)#no logging flash−bufferwrap
Solutions
Use the solutions in this section to solve the problem.
Solution 1
Run a file system check on disk0 by issuing the fsck disk0: command.
ASA(config)#fsck disk0:
Note: If this solution does not resolve the issue, contact TAC (registered customers only) .
Solution 2
 Warning: Perform this step only if the issue still persists, re−format the Flash and copy the image as
this output shows:
ASA(config)#format disk0:
Format operation may take a while. Continue? [confirm] y 
ASA(config)#copy tftp disk0:
Note: The format command erases your configuration. Be sure you have a backup first. Refer to Use the copy
Command to Backup and Restore a Configuration on PIX 7.x in order to learn more about how to backup and
restore your configuration.

supported by the ASA.
