Making Alert Calls

From the Home screen, select 

 MENU

 Contacts 

➔ 

PTT Groups.

Highlight a PTT Group, then press the Left Soft Key 

 Alert, then the 

 PTT/Side Key to send an alert 

to the group. If a recipient answers the call, “Connected to” 

displays on your phone’s screen.

Press and hold the 

 PTT/Side Key, and begin talking. 

“Talking to” displays on your phone screen.

Release the 

 PTT/Side Key to listen.

Alternate between pressing and holding the 

 PTT/

Side Key to talk, and releasing the PTT/Side Key to listen.

Press the 

 End/Power Key to end the call.

Tip: You can also make PTT calls with the phone closed, using the 

Speakerphone. Press the PTT/Side Key to start, then use the external 
keys to find a PTT contact, group or call record and make the call.

To end a call, press and hold the Speakerphone Key.

Making Barge Calls

From the Home screen, press the 

 Send Key to display 

Recent Calls.

Highlight a PTT Group call record, then press the 

 

PTT/Side Key. A tone plays and and “Connected to” 

displays.

Press and hold the 

 PTT/Side Key, and begin talking. 

“Talking to” displays on your phone screen.

Press the 

 End/Power Key to end the call.
