4. Fluted (crinkle) and Waffle Cuts
a. Make sure removable stand 
6 is placed in the holes adjacent to handle 1 in 
its locked position.
b. Remove the black straight cutting blade 
2 guard and/or julienne blade D, if 
installed. *NOTE: Use extreme caution the blades are sharp.
c. Loosen tension nut 
6, on the underside of the mandolin, by turning counter-
clockwise. Slide the straight cutting blade 
2 towards the fluted cutting blade 
3 as far as possible. Re-tighten tension nut 6 by turning it clockwise.
d. Raise fluted cutting blade 
3, by using the fluted blade adjustment lever 9 
located on the underside of the mandolin, until the desired cutting thickness is 
achieved.
e. Firmly grasp mandolin handle 
1, on the same end as the straight cutting blade 
2, making sure the cutting blades are facing up.
f. Place the mandolin's opposite handle 
4 and rubberized foot of the removable 
stand 
5 on a stable cutting surface (see illustration).
g. Place the safety guard 
A and the secured item to be cut, making sure an arrow 
on the safety guard 
B is facing the direction of the cutting motion 
(downward), on the mandolin above the fluted cutting blade

h.While applying pressure with the palm of your hand on the safety guard 
A, in 
one smooth continuous downward motion, push the safety guard 
A past the 
fluted cutting blade 
3. Repeat as many times as desired. 
j. Waffle cuts: to make waffle cuts rotate the item being cut 90° after every cut. 
5. Grating
a. Make sure removable stand 
6 is placed in the holes adjacent to handle 1 in 
its locked position.
b. Remove the black straight cutting blade 
2 guard and/or julienne blade D, if 
installed. *NOTE: Use extreme caution the blades are sharp.
c. Loosen tension nut 
6, on the underside of the mandolin, by turning counter-
clockwise. Slide the straight cutting blade 
2 towards the fluted cutting blade 
3 as far as possible. Re-tighten tension nut 6 by turning it clockwise
d. Raise fluted cutting blade 
3, by using the fluted blade adjustment lever 9 
located on the underside of the mandolin, until the fluted cutting blade 
3 is at 
a height of 2mm (maximum) above the straight cutting blade

e. Firmly grasp mandolin handle 
1, on the same end as the straight cutting blade 
2, making sure the cutting blades are facing up.
f. Place the mandolin's opposite handle 
4 and rubberized foot of the removable 
stand 
5 on a stable cutting surface (see illustration).
g. Place the safety guard 
A and the secured item to be cut, making sure an arrow 
on the safety guard 
B is facing the direction of the cutting motion 
(downward), on the mandolin above the fluted cutting blade

6. Maintenance/Storage 
Before using mandolin for the first time the manufacturer recommends 
washing the slicer in hot water. Place all julienne blades 
D back into 
manufacturer supplied julienne blade storage case 
C for safe storage and to 
prevent julienne blades from being damaged. See the manufacturer supplied
