Process
These tapes can be used to help protect electrical/electronic cables, hydraulic hoses and metal piping from wide temperature
extremes, abrasion and, with 3M
Glass Cloth Tape 361 and 3M
Flame Retardant Sealing Tape 367FR, flame resistance.
For general purpose/chemical resistance, 3M
Thermosetable Glass Cloth Tape 365 (no liner) and 3650 (linered) are good
candidates for many applications. Tape 361 has a silicone adhesive and has been used in temperature extremes from -50° F
(-45° C) to +500° F (260° C) and higher. For flame resistance, tapes 361 and 367FR provide protection with a requirement
for self-extinguishing properties.
