Insight Control Environment for BladeSystem delivers foundation management for HP
BladeSystem lifecycles, including hardware resource deployment, health monitoring, software
version control, performance monitoring, vulnerability, scanning and patch management and
power management.

HP Control Insight Environment for BladeSystem installs and licenses the following components
by default using a wizard-based integrated installer:

HP ProLiant Essentials Rapid Deployment Pack

Additional ProLiant Essentials software and management tools included on the Insight Control
Management kit can be installed manually.

NOTE: HP Server Migration Pack – Universal Edition can be installed from the SMP-Universal CD
included in the Insight Control Management media kit.
NOTE: Insight Control Environment for BladeSystem can be installed from the Insight Control
Management DVD, which can be delivered with HP BladeSystem c-Class enclosures with a
choice of licensing options. Licensing options include a free 30 day evaluation license for 8
servers (default option for every enclosure order), a full purchased license for 8 blade servers or a
