Using this feature, users can select one of the four languages (English, Welsh,
Gaelic, Irish). The language selected here is the default when the user selects a
channel.

Press the D.MENU button.
Result: The DTV menu is displayed.

Press the … or † button to select Preference.
Result: The Preference menu is displayed. 

Press the ENTER/OK (

)  button. 

Select your required menu by pressing the 

▲ or ▼ button. 

◆  Preferred Subtitle Language  

◆ Preferred Audio Language

Press the ENTER/OK (

)  button.

Result: The options of the selected menu are displayed.

Select the required option by pressing the … or † button, and press the
ENTER/OK (

) button to change the setting.

◆  If you change the language setting, the Subtitle Language and 

the Audio Language of the features menu (refer to page 32) are 
automatically changed to the selected language.

◆ The Subtitle Language and the Audio Language of the 

features menu show a list of languages supported by the current 
channel and the selection is highlighted. If you change this 
language setting, the new selection is only valid for the current 
channel. The changed setting does not change the setting of the 
Preferred Subtitle Language

or the Preferred Audio 

of the preference menu.

Press the D.MENU button to return to the previous menu or press the EXIT
button to return to normal viewing.

Press the D.MENU button.
Result: The DTV menu is displayed.

Press the … or † button to select Preference.
Result: The Preference menu is displayed. 

Press the ENTER/OK (

)  button. 

Press the 

▲ or ▼ button to select OSD Language. 

Press the ENTER/OK (

)  button.

Select a particular language by pressing the 

▲ or ▼ button repeatedly.

Press the ENTER/OK (

) button to change the setting.

Press the D.MENU button to return to the previous menu or press the 
EXIT button to return to normal viewing.

When you start using your DTV for the first time, you must select the language 
which will be used for displaying menus and indications.
