"OFF" automatically.
• Be sure not to turn on the satellite tuner
before the program is executed otherwise
the VCR will start recording when the
satellite tuner's power is turned on.
• Depending on the type of satellite tuner,
the VCR may not record a slight portion
of the beginning of the program or may
record slightly longer than the actual
length of the program.
• While the VCR is in Record Link or stand-
by mode, normal timer recording will not
perform.
• “Err L-1” will appear if you engage the
Record Link during the satellite tuner
power is on. Turn off the satellite tuner.
However, if “Err” will not disappear even
though the satellite tuner is turned off,
Record Link function will not work
properly with that satellite tuner.
Record Link
This facility allows you to record a
satellite program automatically which
is timer-programmed on your external
satellite tuner. Connect a satellite tuner
to the VCR's AUDIO/VIDEO IN jacks
on the rear panel and programme the
timer on the satellite tuner. The VCR
starts recording when it signals input
from the satellite tuner to the VCR's
AUDIO/VIDEO IN jacks on the rear
panel, and when there is no input signal
the VCR stops recording and the power
shuts off.
Before performing the following steps:
• Make sure the satellite tuner is connected
to the VCR's AUDIO/VIDEO IN jacks on
the rear panel.
• Programme the timer on the satellite
tuner.
• Insert a cassette with the safety tab in
place.
