If the video recorder is not used for several minutes, it switches

itself off automatically. If you want to use the video recorder as a

TV receiver,you can deactivate the automatic switch-off as follows:

2 Use PP-- or PP++ to select menu point "AST"

(Automatic switch-off) and confirm with O

3 Use PP-- or PP++ to select "AST-" (Automatic

switch-off cancelled) or "AST+" (Automatic

switch-off on) and confirm with O

1 Press the M

control.The display will show "CLK"

4 The display will briefly show "OK"

5 Complete the adjustment of automatic

switch-off with the M

You can prevent unauthorised use of your video recorder with

this function. Once it is activated, the buttons on the front of the

set are locked. Previously entered programmes will of course be

recorded.
