Go endzone to endzone in one of the featured game modes of Madden NFL 2004.

To play in other game modes, click GAME MODES at the Main menu.

MINI-CAMP

Tour NFL cities in the Madden Cruiser to fine-tune your playing skills in Mini-Camp mode.

Ü 

Each NFL city hosts a Mini-Camp. Follow the on-screen instructions to compete in the listed 
drill. To select a Mini-Camp, click the city’s icon on the map and click PLAY DRILL.

Ü 

To change the difficulty level, click the arrows next to Skill Level.

2-MINUTE DRILL

The pressure is on, and the clock is winding down. Run the 2-Minute Drill and rack up as many 
points as you can before the final gun sounds.

2-MINUTE DRILL SETUP SCREEN

DEFENSE TEAM 

Choose the defensive squad to attack. All players compete 
against the same defensive squad.

SKILL LEVEL 

Choose your playing difficulty level: 

ROOKIE, PRO, 

ALL-PRO, or ALL-MADDEN. A higher level can earn 
you more points.

TEAM 

Select offensive team to control.

Ü 

To continue, click CONTROLLER SELECT.

NOTE: If you score before time expires, you keep possession of the ball 
and start a new drive from your own 20-yard line.

PRACTICE

Brush up on your playing skills, or master a team’s playbook.

PRACTICE SETUP SCREEN

In the Practice Setup screen, you select the offensive and defensive teams for the practice. You 
must also select a type of Practice in the Mode bar.

MODE BAR

NORMAL 

A normal practice with offensive and defensive units.

OFFENSE ONLY 

Practice with your offense without a defense on the field.

KICKOFF 

Do kickoff coverage and return drills.

To continue, click CONTROLLER SELECT.

PRACTICE FIELD

On the practice field, you can run every play in your playbook.

Ü 

To re-spot the ball, press Button 

5. Press the D-Pad to select the new spot on the field, and 

press Button 

2 to spot it.

To choose a different play, press Button 

10. In the Pause menu, click CHOOSE NEW PLAY.
