Pull out the detergent drawer and add detergent or softener to the
correct compartment.

machine. Refer to the instructions on the packaging for appropriate
amounts to use for different wash programmes.

● Use for Wool wash programmes.
 Powdered
detergent
● If you forget to add detergent, you can drain
the washing machine by running a Drain
only function, using the MODE button.
Then you can add detergent and start the
programme again. (Detergent only reaches the
drum when water flushes through the detergent
drawer).
● To prevent powdered detergent staying
in the drawer:
● Dry the inside of the drawer with a cloth.
● Make sure the powder isn’t lumpy when you
add it.

How much detergent do I use?
This can depend on:
1. How soiled your laundry is
Light soil –   no visible stains or marks
Normal –     light stains and marks visible
Heavy soil –  large or ground-in stains and
marks
2. The amount of laundry
3. Water hardness
You can find out more about water hardness
in your area by calling your local water
authority.
● If the rinse cycle isn’t removing all the
detergent from your wash, use less
detergent or try the Extra Rinse function.
Do not use washing machine,
when remove the detergent
drawer.
(It may cause a water leak or
it may not work normally)
