*The driver's side Q-Custom will not work in the 2 door version of the Blazer/Yukon/Tahoe.

•

Remove the factory carpet panel from the bottom of the door.

•

Remove the two silver screws from the plastic tabs which secure the bottom of the plastic window trim to the metal door skin.

•

Cut the clear plastic film off of the metal door skin.

•

Reroute the factory wires, located inside the door, to the top side of the metal support beam. This will prevent the enclosure form pinching the
wires. Fasten or wire tie securely.

•

It may be helpful to pad and add sound deadening to the door and window trim at this time.

•

Locate the plastic tab at the bottom of the window trim closest to the door jam. From the door jam side of the tab measure over and mark 1" (this
should be close to the center of the plastic tab). From the bottom of the same tab measure and mark up 1-1/2".

•

Draw a line from this mark, parallel with the bottom of the window trim, towards the center of the door 10-3/4"  long. On both ends of the 10-3/4"
line draw a line down towards the bottom of the door 12-1/4" long. Make sure to keep each line at a right angle to the 10-3/4" line.

•

At the starting point tab, notch out the previously drawn 1" by 1-1/2" plastic piece from this tab.

•

Cut out all of the metal inside the 10-3/4" by 12-1/4" marked section. This should leave about 1/2" of metal at the bottom of the door and 1/2" area
between the top mark (drawn by you) and the bottom of the plastic window trim.

•

Run and grommet the speaker wire through the door jam area. Make sure that the wire is run in a location where it won't get damaged (pinched)
or will not interfere with the operation of the door.

•

Run the speaker wire the length of the door on top of the inner metal support beam and through the door skin opening next to the latch mecha-
nism. Fasten or wire tie securely.

   (separate the outer shell form the enclosure for installation.)

•

Hook up the speaker wire through the door skin opening to the terminal cup located on the rear of the enclosure.

•

Lay the enclosure on the door.

•

Align both sided equally with the plastic window trim. Make sure to leave a 1/16" opening between the enclosure

and the window trim so that the outer shell will fit.

•

(The factory window trim may  need to be shifted up so that the enclosure will fit properly.)

•

Be sure that the door will still close and that no wires are pinched before securing the enclosure in place.

•

Predrill and secure the enclosure to the door with the (6) 1-1/2" screws at all six "V" notched mounting locations.

•

Place the outer shell onto the enclosure , making sure that everything lines up and the door still operates properly.

•

Hook up the speaker wire inside the enclosure and to the speaker. Secure the speaker through the outer shell and into the enclosure. This will
secure this end of the outer shell to the enclosure as well.

•

Secure the opposite end of the outer shell to the enclosure with the (2) 1"
truss head screws provided.

•

Install the provided grill into the recessed area around the speaker.

1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Ai Research warrants to the original retail purchaser, this product to be free from defective workmanship and
material when used under normal conditions in accordance with the product’s
printed instructions for a period of one (1) year from date of purchase.  Ai Research agrees to remedy any
such defect or to furnish a new part in exchange for the defective one at no charge for
parts or labor.

This warranty is limited to Ai Research products and specifically excludes consequential damage to other associated equipment which may result for any reason from use with this product.  In no event shall
Ai Research be liable for incidental or consequential damages or have any liability with respect to defects other than the obligations set forth above.  Some states do not allow limitations on how long an
implied warranty lasts, and/or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.  This warranty gives you specific rights and you
may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

This warranty does not cover the following:

• Damages caused by water, neglect, abuse, misuse, improper installation or operation.
• Damages caused by acts of God or nature.
• Damages occurring during shipment of the product to Ai Research for repairs.
• Any product which is modified without consent of Ai Research.

If you need warranty service, take the following steps:
1.  Save your sales receipt for warranty registration and service.
2.  Contact the dealer from whom you bought Q-Logic.  They will give

you instructions for warranty service.

3.  If no dealer is available, call Ai Research for further instructions:
