2) TaHomA Controller Setup
Before connecting the TaHomA controller to the router or powering it up, confirm that the site has a healthy and active internet
connection and a stable LAN.
In addition, the TaHomA controller should be centrally located to as many Z-Wave devices as possible to ensure the best system
performance. However, please keep in mind that the maximum recommended length of an Ethernet cable is 100 meters For more
information on TaHomA controller placement, refer to
Section 1.1 of this guide.
2.1 Powering up the TaHomA Controller and Connecting to the LAN
1.  Connect the Ethernet cable to TaHomA and the router.
2.  Connect the included power adapter to TaHomA first, then plug into a standard 120VAC outlet.
3.  Confirm Ethernet port LED is solid green, indicating an active network connection.
When the TaHomA controller is powered up and connected to the LAN for the first time, the LEDs will flash,
indicating the progress of the initial system boot. The LEDs will then begin the Standard Startup LED Sequence.
NOTE: This process may take up to several minutes. Do not disconnect the power or Ethernet connection during this time.

2.2 Standard Startup LED Sequence
1.  Left LED will blink green and then remain solid. This may take a few moments. The Middle and Right LEDs will remain unlit.
2.  The Middle LED will then illuminate solid green when the TaHomA software is running.
3.  The Right LED will then illuminate solid green when TaHomA has connected to the external Remote Access Server (RAS).
When all 3 LEDs are solid green, you may continue with login creation and End User registration. If the controller does
not display 3 solid green LEDs, please contact TaHomA Technical Support either through the TaHomA Dealer Support portal
accessed by logging in at www.somfytahoma.com or
by calling 866-MYTAHOMA (866.698.2466). Refer to page 77 for
more technical support information.
NOTE: Periodically,

TaHomA will download and install system updates.
