ABUS Wireless Smoke Detector

The ABUS Wireless Smoke Detector reacts to visible smoke
particles. If too much smoke enters the measuring chamber of a
single detector, all wireless smoke detectors in the building are
activated and trigger an alarm.
The optical wireless smoke detector is mounted to the ceiling in the
room’s centre. The required minimum distance to the walls is 15
cm, the minimum distance to each corner 50 cm. The detection
range of the detector is up to 40 m². We recommend one individual
smoke detector for each entrance area, staircase, living-room and
bedroom. The integrated, powerful Piezo alarm sounder has a
volume of at least 85 dB to ensure effective alerting in the event of
fire.
The detectors communicate with each other on the 434.33 MHz
radio frequency. Their transmitting and receiving range is up to 100
m. Additional transmitter or receiver modules are not necessary.
In the event of a fire, all smoke detectors sound an alarm signal
simultaneously. The detector that first detected the smoke emits an
alarm signal different from the other detectors. This guides you to
the smoke’s source.
With suitable batteries (9 V lithium, the wireless smoke detector has
a service life of up to 24 months. The lifetime varies according to how often you test the detector’s function. We recommend one test a
month. The detector reports a weak battery by beep tones in regular intervals. Due to its reliability and high quality, the detector is VdS
certified.
