Assembling the Atlas Treadmill
Using the Safety Clip
Instruct users on how important it is to use the safety clip
while exercising on the treadmill, and demonstrate that
they should attach it to their clothing near the waistline.
With the lanyard attached, any movement that causes a
strong tug on the safety lanyard—such as a loss of
footing—stops the running belt.

If a user’s safety switch trips during exercise, have the
user perform the following steps:
1. Reattach the safety clip.
2. Press the SPEED UP or QUICKSTART button.
3. Reenter the safety code, if necessary.

Turning the Treadmill On and Off
To turn the treadmill ON and OFF, use the power switch
located beneath the hood, near the power cord
receptacle.
