Installation

If you selected Custom Setup, enter the Custom Settings. If you have a wireless 
802.11g or 802.11b network, then select the wireless network and enter the 
settings.

If you selected Custom Setup, return to your TV to enter them.

1. Press OK on the remote control. You can choose to scan for shared content 

(shared media).

If you do not want to scan automatically, select No to go to the Setup Network 
Shares menu. (See “Setup Network Shares” in Chapter 4) where you can do 
this manually.

2. Select the media servers from the drop-down list, and then choose the 

writeable server location. The electronic program guide uses the writeable 
server location.

3. Select your TV provider from the list.

The Digital Entertainer HD goes to the Supervisor Functions menu. 

Use the Network Connection menu to enter the wireless settings.

1. Push 

 Home, and select More>Supervisor Functions>Advanced Setup> 

Setup network connection. 

2. Select Wireless.

The Digital Entertainer HD scans for wireless networks in your area and 
displays a list. The list may contain open, secure, or hidden wireless networks.

Open Network: This network does not use wireless security.

Note: You need to know the wireless network name, also called the 

SSID, and the wireless security settings for your network.
