BEFORE YOU BEGIN
For best operation,
1. Insert batteries into remote sensors before inserting batteries in the
main unit.
2. Position the remote units and main unit within effective transmission
range, typically up to 100 feet. Note that the effective range depends
upon many factors, including structural surroundings. Though the
remote units are weatherproof, they should be placed away from direct
sunlight, rain, and snow.
BATTERY INSTALLATION: REMOTE UNITS
1. Remove the screws on the battery compartment.
2. Select the desired channel.
3. Install 2 alkaline “AA” batteries.
4. Replace battery compartment door and secure screws.
BATTERY INSTALLATION: MAIN UNIT
1. Open the battery compartment door.
2. Install 2  alkaline “AA”.
3. Replace the battery compartment door.
LOW BATTERY WARNING
A low-battery indicator [       ] will appear on the indoor or outdoor
temperature reading to show when the corresponding sensor’s batteries
need replaced.
GETTING STARTED
After batteries are installed, remote sensors will transmit temperature
readings at 45 second intervals. The main unit may take up to two minutes
to receive the initial readings; upon successful reception, outdoor
temperatures will be displayed. The main unit will automatically update
readings at about 45-second intervals.
If no signals are received by the main unit after two minutes, “-- ” will be
displayed. Hold [-] for 2 seconds to begin another signal search.
If no signals are received, try moving the base unit closer to the remote
sensor, face the remote sensor towards the base unit, and minimize
obstructions such as doors and walls between the sensor and base unit.
