To operate the USB-based synchronisation with your 
phone, do as follows. 

 

Connect your phone to the PC by using the USB 
cable.

 

The Vodafone PC Options software supplied on 
your phone will run automatically. And then 
select Activate Vodafone PC Assistant.

 

Follow the guide to complete the PC assistant 
installation for the first time.

 

Select Settings > Connectivity > Modem from 
the main menu of your phone and set the port to 
Modem via USB

.

 

Run the Vodafone PC Assistant on the PC.

 

Now you can operate the USB-based synchroni-
sation. For details of the operation, refer to the 
Help of the Vodafone PC Assistant.

Connecting your phone to the PC with the USB cable 
enables the PC to use the phone as a modem. This 
helps to set up a dial-up connection to the Internet.

 

Windows 2000 and Windows XP are sup-
ported.

There are two methods to access the internet by 
using the USB cable: use the Vodafone PC Assistant 
supplied with your Vodafone 730 to load and run the 
Vodafone Mobile Connect via the phone internet con-
nectivity software, or use the Windows operating sys-
tem to set the service.

 

Connect your phone to the PC by using the USB

The Vodafone PC Options software supplied on 
your phone will run automatically.

 

Select one of the following methods to set up the 
dial-up connection. 
• Select the Activate Dial-up networking 

option from the Vodafone PC Options soft-
ware, and follow the instructions to set up the 
Vodafone Mobile Connect software, and con-
nect to the internet.
