Step 2 -

 

Ensure the wireless adapter is recognized by your home 

network:

  Once your router detects the wireless adapter, it will prompt 

you to configure the two devices. Select 

Set Up Now

. 

  Highlight your wireless network and press 

SELECT

 to display 

a blue dot next to your network. Then select 

Continue

. 

  Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the set-up 

process of the wireless adapter.

Step 3 - 

Verify that you are connected:

Press the 

MENU

 button on your DIRECTV Remote.

 Select 

Settings & Help

, then 

Settings

, then 

Network Setup

.

 Choose 

Connect Now

 (or 

Test Connection

, if you have 

connected previously).

 Select 

Continue

 after successfully connecting to DIRECTV via 

the Internet (See Figure A). 

 Select 

Done

 to finish the setup process (See Figure B). 

If your DIRECTV HD DVR does not immediately recognize the 

network connection, you will have the option to choose the 

connection method. Choose 

Wireless

 (See Figure C) and follow the 

onscreen instructions.
