The balance hub position is adjustable to produce an even pressure across the full width of the 
printhead and platen roller.

Perform the PAUSE Key Self Test by pressing PAUSE while turning On (l) the print 
engine.

After printing a few labels, pause the print engine and reduce the 

DARKNESS

 

configuration parameter value until the test labels are a charcoal gray color.

Print more PAUSE Key Self Test labels and observe the print quality.

If lighter or no printing is observed on one side of the label as compared with the other, 
continue to step 5. If printing is even, printhead balance need not be adjusted. Continue to
