A door is managed using two Voyager devices (one on each side of the 

door). During a network failure, to ensure the complete door functionality, 

you can have a backup connection between the devices using the RS 485 

serial line with encrypted protocol as shown in 

.

The typical connection for the Voyager door backup line appears as shown

You can set the RS485 wiring length using the SW1 jumpers. For more 

information on jumpers, see “Jumpers” on page 39.
