CHN-III User Manual 

1.  Product Description 

◆  CHN-III Digital Cinema servers can playback DCI Compliance JPEG2000 format digital 

film. 

◆  CHN-III Digital Cinema servers can playback 2K & 4K format digital film. 

◆  CHN-III Digital Cinema servers can playback digital film using Gigabit port. Digital Film 

source (DCP) can be ingested to COMe module for data processing via Gigabit port, and 

then the data will be transferred to FPGA which is core of IMB board through PCIe interface 

for audio and video decoding and decryption. Then the decoded and decrypted data will be 

transferred to external play equipment.   

◆  CHN-III Digital Cinema servers don’t need to connect with external servers, the IMB board 

itself can do the playback and content management. 

◆  CHN-III Digital Cinema servers support 2D/3D    High Frame Rates playback（48fps or 60 

fps）, and it also supports standard definition , High definition, 2K and 4K format. 

◆  CHN-III Digital Cinema servers support 3G-SDI input, and also support image scaling to 

2K format.

Below picture shows the CHN-III conditions that the metal cover has 

been removed.
