Overload
An overload (above 105%) is indicated by a continuously emitted sound and a corresponding message on the display.
If the load persists at 105÷120%, the UPS remains in the current mode for one minute and then switches to BYPASS
mode. If the overload exceeds 120% of the rated power of the UPS, the device switches to BYPASS mode
immediately. The UPS remains in BYPASS mode until the load drops to the preset level (CONFIGURATION 3/4;
ProgDel.Sw.). After the overload discontinues, the UPS attempts five times to start regular operation. Failure to do so
switches the UPS to EMERGENCY mode. In BACKUP mode, the overload causes the UPS to switch to EMER-
GENCY mode without any additional attempts to resume regular work.

Short circuit
In the inverter modes, i.e. REGULAR, BACKUP, HYBRID, and electronic short circuit protection is present which,
when there is a short circuit, it limits the short circuit current to a safe level. The presence of a short circuit is indicated
by the corresponding message and a quick, intermittent emitted sound. When the short circuit persists longer than
approx. 100 ms, the UPS switches to EMERGENCY mode. In the work modes where the BYPASS line is used,
automatic fuses F3 are used.

Surge
The UPS is fitted with surge protection at the input, which protects the receiver circuits and internal circuitry of the UPS
against high-energy voltage surges caused by atmospheric phenomena and interference in the power network.

Battery
Batteries are protected with fusible cut-outs. The terminal of the external battery pack and internal batteries are
protected separately. These protections also perform the function of isolators during e.g. wiring. The fuse type is
specified in the technical parameters table.

The instruction in the frame that is shown below the fuses must be followed,
namely that the fuses must be activated in the appropriate order. F1 should be
activated first, and after 10s followed by F2. Failure to follow the instruction may
damage the UPS.

The fusible cut-out F4 protects the terminal of the external battery pack and is located to
the right of the terminals. It disconnects both poles when the casing is open.

Thermal
The UPS is fitted with thermal protection against overheating. There are two protection levels. When the internal
temperature approaches the critical value, a sound is emitted and a corresponding message is displayed. The UPS
remains in the current mode. If the temperature increases and the critical temperature is reached, the alarm message
is displayed and the UPS switches to EMERGENCY mode.
