SMC’s SMC6824M is a new generation of high performance
switch that has a non-blocking switch fabric of 9.6Gbps.
With 24 fixed auto-MDIX 10/100 ports and two slots in the
front panel for optional modules, it can be expanded up
to 26 ports per switch, with a mix and match of 100BASE-FX
or 1000BASE-X modules. The TigerStack III 10/100 can be
stacked up to 8 units high with the stacking kit, so that
up to 192 ports can be managed by single IP. The
TigerStack III 10/100 comes with advance features features,
including port or protocol based and tagged VLANs, plus
support for automatic GVRP VLAN registration provides
traffic security and efficient use of network bandwidth.
QoS priority queuing ensures the minimum delay for 
real-time multimedia data across the network. IGMP
snooping is also onboard to prevent flooding of IP multicast
traffic, with LACP to facilitate linking aggregation.
Security features are also included in the switch, which
includes RADIUS, SSH, SSL, and HTTPS that keeps the
network and the users secure from tampering by unau-
thorized users, and RMON traps to alert the presence of
intruders in system.
The TigerStack III 10/100 is backed by a comprehensive
limited lifetime warranty. With powerful switching
