Types of Media Supplies

ORDERING INFORMATION: HELPFUL TIPS

These are the most commonly requested media types and sizes and are readily available for order. TFS supplies usually 

ship within 24 hours upon request. See the relevant printer category (mobile, industrial, desktop) for TFS media. 

These supplies are custom configurations that fall outside of the Take From Stock program. These supplies have published pricing 

and do not require the purchase of tooling when placing an order. However, these items will be subject to custom lead times.

For labeling requirements that cannot be met by take-from-stock products, Intermec produces a wide selection of custom media in a 

variety of sizes, materials, configurations and colors. Intermec custom media solutions offer the following to meet specific needs: 

•  Hundreds of materials

•  Extensive library of dies available for manufacturing custom sizes and configurations for labels and tags

•  Up to seven color printing

•  Engineering expertise and an industry-leading R&D laboratory to develop product solutions for even the

  most challenging application (e.g. clean room, chemical baths, and extreme environments)

Variable print options for harsh environment bar code labels and tags, retro-reflective rack labels for warehouses, and 

serialized product and asset identification labels/tags for customers without in-house, on-demand printing capabilities.  

Intermec Pre-print is also an option when it is more cost-effective to purchase already-printed labels and tags.

•  Warehouse – Bin, rack, floor, and ceiling labels

•  Work in Process (WIP) – Sequentially numbered bar code labels, paint block

•  Regulatory or compliance labeling

•  Asset Management labels – Property ID, void materials, destructible materials

•  Harsh Environments – High heat, extreme abrasion, chemical exposure (i.e. corrosives, acids, solvents)
