Screen dimensions

The dimensions and hanging position of the 
projection screen can be determined by following 
this guideline:

Height (X) of the projection screen =
1/6 of the distance from the projection screen to 
the last row of chairs.

The most optimum distance from the bottom 
of the projection screen to the floor is:

In case of:

Professional use = approximately 125 cm
Home Cinema use = minimum 60-90 cm 

The optimum perception of the projected image 
is determined by:

Distance to the first (D) row of audience = 
diagonal (D) dimension of the screen

4:3 width =1.33 x height

16:9 width = 1.78 x height

16:10 width = 1.60 x height

 

Choosing the right screen fabric

Please choose from the screen fabrics as described 
below. Please take into account primarily the light 
output of the projector, the ambient light, the 
position of the projector (on the ceiling or placed 
at seat height) and the layout of the presentation 
room.

A diffusion projection screen surface spreads the 
light evenly and has a wide viewing angle.

Within the diffusion screen fabrics we offer the 
following screen fabric types: 

– Matte white
– Matte white high gain

Suitable choice for projection settings that require 
a wide viewing angle (max. 50° L/R) or in which a 
projector with a high light output is used. A 
diffusion screen fabric can also be used in situations 
in which the projector is placed at seat height or 
where the projector is mounted on the ceiling.

PROFESSIONAL and PREMIUM projection screens: 
screen fabrics are tested for fire resistance and 
meet the norm B2.
