ZyXEL’s IEEE 802.11a/g dual band wireless client adapter connects your
desktop or computer to three wireless standard networks (A, B and G). To
avoid interference, you can use auto frequency band selection or switch to
IEEE 802.11a connection mode. Unlike IEEE 802.11b/g networks which use
the 2.4GHz band, IEEE 802.11a uses the 5GHz frequency range specifically
for high-speed transmission. In addition, with IEEE 802.11a, you don’t have
to worry about interference from Bluetooth systems or home appliances
(such as microwave ovens and cordless phones).
Wireless Client and Access Point Operating Modes
ZyXEL’s wireless network adapter series works as a wireless client or access
point. With the built-in AP function, you can instantly create your wireless
network without buying an additional AP. Or, use the wireless adapter to
connect to existing wireless networks easily.
Enhanced Wireless Security
In addition to basic 64/128/256-bit WEP encryption, ZyXEL’s wireless
network adapters feature the latest, enhanced wireless security
mechanisms such as IEEE 802.1x authentication and Wi-Fi Protected Access
(WPA/WPA2). The enhanced security functions protect wireless
communication and only allow authorized users access to your network.
This protects your network from malicious break-ins and information theft.
Easy Installation and Intuitive User Interface
The auto setup wizard helps you install and set up a wireless connection
