h) Installing the Propeller
Install the five propeller blades in the propeller hub with the pin (1).
Then put the counterpiece of the propeller hub on the propeller you just
installed and screw the propeller hub on with the five screws
10 x 2.5 mm (2).
Install the propeller tappet to the motor shaft (3).
Install the wooden spinner (4) base plate and then the spinner shaping
(5).
Insert a washer and screw the propeller in place with a nut (6) manually.
Put the spinner (7) onto the spinner shaping (6) and check whether the
two pre-drilled holes in the spinner match the pre-drilled spinner shaping
holes. For this, twist the spinner shaping until the holes are put on top
of each other.
Only then tighten the motor shaft nut.
Now put the spinner on the spinner shaping again and screw the spinner
on with two screws 6 x 2.5 mm (8).
Push the propeller to start it and check it for smooth running and also to
see if it is running without scraping. The distance between the motor
hood and spinner should be approx. 5 mm.
i) Installing the Wings
Before using the model plane, always secure the wings to ensure that they cannot come off. For this, the wing is attached with a screw M4 x 60 mm in the front
and two screws M4 x 60 mm in the rear area.
j) Installing the Canopy
The canopy is installed ready for use. In the rear part of the canopy,
one metal holder each is installed on the left and right; they can be
attached to the corresponding shapings at the fuselage. Magnets are
installed at the shapings to provide additional support.
The canopy is slightly bent inside at the frame. To attach the canopy,
you first need to connect the hook on one side, then on the other by
slight pulling.
Important:
Check for tight seat of the canopy at the fuselage before every start.
Also regularly check tight fit of the screws at the cabin frame.
