g) Switching on
Put the on/off switch of the speed controller (see figure
in chapter 8. f) in the „ON“ position. Then wait for a few
seconds (leave the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter
in the neutral position; do not move it).
The speed controller recognises the current position of the
throttle/brake lever automatically as neutral position.
Then the motor emits a short sound and then a confirmati-
on tone („DO-RE-MI“); then the current throttle/brake lever
setting is saved as the neutral setting. The speed control-
ler LED is lit green. The speed controller is now ready for
operation. You can steer the vehicle with the transmitter.
The sounds are generated by a short start-up of the motor by the speed controller. Depending on motor, the
sounds may be very low.
If the vehicle drive starts although the throttle/brake on the transmitter is in the neutral position, then adjust the trim
on the transmitter until the motor stops.
Now check the drive and steering functions of the vehicle.
h) Attaching and Fastening the Car Body
Push the aerial tube from the bottom of the body through the respective opening. Put the car body onto the holder.
Plug in the plastic spacers removed at first and secure the car body with the retention clips.
i) Controlling the Vehicle
Operate the throttle/braking lever for the drive function at the transmitter very cautiously and do not drive too
fast at the beginning until you get used to the car‘s reactions. Do not make any quick and jerky movements
with the operating elements of the remote control.
If the vehicle tends to pull towards the left or the right, set the steering trim on the transmitter accordingly.
When switching between forward and reverse driving, the throttle/brake lever must be put in the neutral position (neu-
tral position = let go of lever, do not move it) briefly (approx. 1 - 2 seconds). If the throttle/brake lever is moved from
forward to reverse directly, the brake function of the drive is activated (vehicle will NOT reverse).
The LED at the speed controller is lit green in neutral position; it flashes quickly when driving forwards and slowly when
driving backwards. When the red LED is lit permanently while driving forward, the end position is reached (full throttle).
If the transmitter signal is lost, the speed controller turns off the motor for safety reasons (the steering servo may
vibrate, however, if no failsafe is installed). The same applies in case of overtemperature of the speed controller.
