c) Programming of the Neutral Position for Pistol Grip Transmitters
Pistol grip transmitters are controlled with the first finger and a throttle lever for speed control (see figure 6 in these
operating instructions). The adjustment path for „forward“ (pull lever to the grip) is usually a little larger than the adjust-
ment path for „reverse“ (push lever away from the grip).
If the lever is not operated, this is the neutral position in which the motor should be switched off. Reverse driving is
possible with the corresponding programming of the speed controller.
Proceed as follows to programme the neutral position:
•  Switch on the transmitter. Pull the throttle lever into the full throttle position and hold it there.
•  Connect the drive battery to the speed controller (the throttle lever is still in the full throttle position). Two short signal
sounds are emitted after approx. two seconds. The full throttle position was recognised.
•  Release the throttle lever at once after the sound signal, so that it is in its neutral position. A single signal sound is
emitted that signals successful programming of the neutral position. You may disconnect the driving battery from the
speed controller again now or start to drive.
d) Programming of the Neutral Position for Hand Transmitters
Hand transmitters usually have one or two lever units for controlling models. The lever units usually neutralise the con-
trol paths by spring force. Sometimes, the springs are removed in the transmitters in the control function for „throttle“
to reach a non-neutralising conduct of the control lever.
If you have a transmitter with a self-neutralising throttle-control lever, programme the neutral position as described
above in „programming of the neutral position for the pistol grip transmitter“. Reverse driving is possible here as well
with the corresponding programming of the speed controller.
If the version with non-neutralising throttle control lever (motor off = throttle lever at the rear stop; full throttle = throttle
lever at the front stop) is desired, you need to programme the neutral position as follows:
•  Switch on the transmitter. Pull the throttle lever into the „full throttle forward“ position and hold it there.
•  Connect the drive battery to the speed controller (the throttle lever is still in the full throttle position). Two short signal
sounds are emitted after approx. two seconds. The full throttle position was recognised.
•  Move the throttle lever into the position „no throttle“ immediately after the sound sequence (pull the throttle lever all
the way back). A single signal sounds is emitted that signals successful programming of the neutral position at the
bottom end of the throttle lever. You may disconnect the driving battery from the speed controller again now or start
to drive. Reverse driving is not possible with this programming.
