b) Installing the Receiver Aerial
Figure 3
The receiver aerial is brought out from the rear right of the RC box in driving direction and guided upwards with an
aerial tube.
• Push the aerial of the receiver outwards through the cover of the RC box.
• Guide the aerial into the aerial tube and push it into the cover opening.
• Then you may close the RC box cover again with the two screws.
Modern remote control systems in 2.4 GHz technology only require short aerials at the transmitter and
receiver for secure operation. As shown in figure 3, the installed receiver also only has a small receiver
aerial. Only the few centimetres without insulation are the aerial. It is fully sufficient for the aerial to protrude
from the body as shown in figure 3. The remaining part of the aerial cable serves as supply/extension so
that you can pull an aerial from a body.
Important!
The remote control range may be reduced drastically if the receiver aerial is not placed correctly (e.g. if the
aerial is only in the boat’s body or the RC box). In this case, the model can no longer be controlled. Check
that the receiver aerial is placed correctly before every operation.
