HP Lights-Out 100i (LO100i) provides embedded, basic system board management capabilities which are activated for additional
functionality with a family of licenses for HP ProLiant DL100 series servers at affordable price-performance levels. Lights-Out 100i
Remote Management allows customers, or their service providers, to remotely control and manage HP ProLiant 100 Series servers
that have embedded LO100i over a LAN or the Internet from anywhere, anytime regardless whether the server is located in the same
building, across town, or around the globe.

With each of the HP Lights-Out 100i products, users can remotely access a system's serial and Telnet consoles, control system
power, and monitor system environmental conditions from a browser or command line. License upgrades provide additional
features. Version 2.10 for the HP ProLiant DL140 G3 and DL145 G3 contained graphical remote console, floppy and CD virtual
media and SSL/SSH security as licensable features.

Version 3.0 is for the HP ProLiant DL160 G5 and DL185 G5 servers. It features, as part of its licenses, the addition of USB 2.0 and
DVD-ROM virtual media support and an enhanced browser interface.

This simple "at-the-server" remote control means you can stay in control of HP ProLiant servers for routine system administration,
troubleshooting and maintenance over a network. Lights-Out 100i is available in three different ways:

LO100i Standard offers a set of very basic remote control and management features that are included with the purchase of
any supported server.
LO100i Select is an optional key activated value packs that enables virtual media as well as secured browser and command
line access to the LO100i management processor.
LO100i Advanced is an optional key activated value packs that enables virtual KVM in addition to the features of LO100i
Select.

Starting January 14, 2008 with LO100i firmware version 3.0, HP LO100i Advanced Packs and HP LO100i Select Packs are
available with new licenses that provide for optional future upgrades. For more information about these options, please see the

Also starting in January 2008, a license entitlement certificate will be delivered in place of a license activation key. The license
entitlement certificate will be delivered via physical shipment for existing product numbers (with the exception of tracking licenses)
and via e-mail for the new electronic license product numbers. It will contain information needed to redeem license activation key(s)
online or via fax. This new electronic redemption process will allow for easier license management and better service and support
