ABS ECUs with Power Line Carrier (PLC).
In light of the obsolescence of these parts, use the tables below to locate the replacement kit part number.
In cases where the current unit part number is not known:
• Find the ABS system configuration used on the trailer by using hand-held or PC diagnostics (where applicable,
and where communication with the previous ECU is possible), or,
• Physically count the number of wheel speed sensors used on the trailer and check for a second modulator in use.

For 4S/2M (4 sensor/2 modulator) systems, to determine if the ABS assembly is used to control an “axle-control”
or “side-control” system, trace the delivery hoses from one of the modulators to see if the actuators controlled are
on the same side of the vehicle (a 4S/2M side system), or at both ends of an axle (4S/2M axle system).
