OTR is easy and convenient way to immediately start recording a TV 
program you happen to be watching (Instant OTR). It is also just as easy 
to set up a delayed start time recording (Standby OTR), without 
programming the timer.

 The steps in "Getting Started" on page 3 have been completed. 
 The clock is set to the correct time. 
 The desired tape speed (SP, LP, SLP) is selected. 
 The record tab is not missing on the cassette. 
 The tape is long enough to record the programs.
